SVA has several open positions for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Available Office Secretary Position
SVA is actively seeking a full-time Office Secretary. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Liaise between students, parents, and staff
- Answer and respond or screen and direct phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries from students, staff, parents, and the public.
- Provide general support to visitors
- Administer attendance, tardy slips, and early dismissals
- Open and close school gates and doors
- Data entry
- Administer first aid and medication to students for the purpose of meeting their immediate health care needs.
- Order and maintain office supplies, dispense instructional material to teachers as needed
- Asist teachers as needed, ex. computer and copy machine troubleshooting
- Maintain office equipment/furniture and call for service as necessary
- Support administration with additional tasks as requested
Qualifications:
- 2+ years administrative experience
- Self-starter who can take ownership of projects and execute to completion
- Experience with customer service and superior organizational skills
- Ability to use MS Office Programs, Google Suite, MS Outlook
- Flexible and able to adapt quickly to new situations
- Solid interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with others as a team player
- Exceptional and proven written and verbal communication skills

Co-Curricular Coordinator Position
SVA is actively seeking a part-time Co-Curricular Coordinator. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage Co-Curricular and extra-curricular programs
- Design and implement new parent-participation program
- Create policies and procedures for volunteering at SVA
- Manage and train parent volunteers
- Manage contracts with vendors for after-school classes, sports, and special events
- Work with administration and PTO to plan and execute events
- Oversee events and activities
- Support administration with additional tasks as requested
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience
- Self-starter who can take ownership of projects and execute to completion
- Experience in education and superior organizational skills
- Ability to use MS Office Programs, Google Suite, MS Outlook
- Flexible and able to adapt quickly to new situations
- Solid interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport with others as a team player
- Exceptional and proven written and verbal communication skills
- Availability for evening and weekend events as needed
- Present on campus for after-school activities when running (generally 2-5 pm Monday through Thursday)
- 20-30 hours a week depending on events/need
